2023 WASHER TEAM TOURNAMENT

 INFO - RULES - SCORING

1. $60 Per Team or $30 Per Person

2. 2 Person Teams

3. This is a Double Elimination Tournament

4. To determine which team goes first, one player from each team will toss one washer. The closest to the cup will have the choice of going first or second.

5. Games are played to 21 points and you must win by 2 points. (21-20 is not a win, 22-20 is a win)

6. Should one team reach 11 points before the opposing team scores 1 point, the game is a shutout and the team with 11 points wins. (11-0 is a shutout after both players have finished shooting)

7. Each team throws three washers toward the opposite cup alternating turns with their opponent

8. Players are not allowed to step in front of the box during their toss. If a point(s) is made but the shooter steps in front of the box, the shot & point(s) are voided. Please remove the washer from the playing field and the next team is up.

9. Teams must switch sides at 11 points. 

10. All bounces are legal & count. It matters where the washer ends up, not how it got there.

11. Only one team may score per round, with scoring being determined by point for point canceling. Scoring examples below.

12. In the Championship Match if Team 1 is undefeated and Team 2 has 1 loss, then Team 1 only has to defeat team 2 once. Team 2 would have to defeat team 1 twice to win. (Remember it’s Double elimination.)

The rules written here are the rules for the 2023 Mikey Lang Washer Tournament and we will not deviate from them or change them without notifying everyone first.

All disagreements will be handled by Mike Lang, unless it occurs in a game he is involved in, then it will be handled by an agreed 3rd party.
